TouchTone ReadMe Information

Thank you for your interest in TouchTone Audio System.

INSTALLATION
============
TouchTone Audio System requires Microsoft DirectShow, Nullsoft Winamp or Apple iTunes for audio playback. If you have Windows Media Player installed then you already have Microsoft DirectShow installed. The choice is yours as to which you choose to use, the default is DirectShow but you will be prompted when TouchTone is run for the first time with the option to use Winamp. We prefer Winamp because of it's cross-fading and vast array of plug-in's but others prefer DirectShow, it's up to you. If you decide to use Winamp, TouchTone Audio System requires an installation of Winamp, version 2.9 or 5.0+. You can download Winamp V5 from http://www.winamp.com. You can use either the FREE or PRO version. If you decide to use iTunes then you must have Apple's iTunes V6 (or later) installed. When you run the program for the first time, refer to the "Getting Started" section in the help file to find out how to configure TouchTone Audio System for use on your system.

To install:

First, go to http://www.mp3touchscreens.com/touchtone/download/. After you agree to the license agreement and submit your name and email (for internal purposes), you will be redirected to a page where the download should begin automatically. If not, click on the link provided. A pop-up message will display where you can select "open" or "save." You can choose either, but if you save it, please remember the location of where you save it. Once downloaded, if you selected "open," the installer should start automatically. If you selected "save," you will need to find the file (exe file), and double-click it to start the installer.
Follow the prompts to install TouchTone Audio System 3. The default installation path will be "c:\program files\TouchTone 3 " (if C: is your system drive). In most circumstances, this will not have to be changed.
The installation process will give you the options to create a desktop icon and a quick launch icon. You can check one of these, both or none.
When you run the program for the first time, refer to the "Getting Started" section in the help file to find out how to configure TouchTone Audio System for use on your system.

This program is Copyright 2009 Tony Murphy and is marketed and distributed by Riptide Innovations. You may redistribute the INSTALLER file as long as it remains in it's original form. The unregistered version of this software can only store 300 files in the music library. You have 30 days to trial the software, after which it will no longer run and you must register (http://www.mp3touchscreens.com/register) to continue using it.

Registering your version will unlock the file limit and you will be able to access your entire music collection. Minor updates will be free of charge to registered users. If you have purchased a license file then you must look after it. It is your key to unlocking the full functionality of TouchTone Audio System. Redistribution of your license file is strictly prohibited..
